1978 Mongoose Motomag Parts and Frame

-

Vintagedad

Finally riding a big boys bike
This is a 1978 Mongoose Motomag minus the wheels. They have been sold already. I’m the second owner and the original owner said nothing was changed on it since he got it as a kid.

Asking,

150 shipped for the forks with pictured items from the head set.
175 shipped for the bars, grips, stem and stem hardware pictured with bars.
250 shipped for the frame with seat.
150 shipped for the crank, pedals, chain and other items pictured with it.

I’d consider selling it all together if a deal could be made. Any questions just ask!

If seatpost is stuck I can tell you how to remove. Also if so it should be stated.

I haven’t tried to remove the seat post so I have no idea if it is stuck. I was planning on selling the seat and frame separately but figured I would throw it in when I listed it on here. It was sitting on a shelf in my garage until I pulled it down today. When I initially took the bike apart I didn’t bother trying to remove the post because it was staying with the frame since it’s original to it anyway. I will attempt to remove it tonight or tomorrow and update when I do.

Thank you, sounds like you had some good ones too! I had a super goose as a kid but mine was much newer. It pains me that I have to sell it.

*Update*

Bars, stem, grips and stem hardware have been sold. Everything else is still available.

Seat post is indeed stuck in frame at the moment. It appears to be the original seat post. I attempted to use just some generic parts remover on it with no luck. Usually I use PB Blaster but I ran out on my last project.
