Yea, it looks pretty weatherd and thin. And I would assume it is/was Cardinal Red, the same as the 79 Spitfires.

I think the 1979 Spitfires also had the lower flange front hubs. The large flange hubs did not show up until '80.

The 77, 78, and early 79 model Spitfires had the small flange Chair or Union hub, then in late 79 there was the transition to the large flange ACS front hubs.

Here is my 79 with the ACS hub on the front.
