1981 Raleigh DL-1 Tourist

I just did my annual clean-up and tire inflation on my 1981 DL-1. It has a 22" frame and full chain case and is completely original, except for the Acorn bag and pump and brake pads. Does anyone know if this (1981) is the last year of manufacture for Raleigh's DL-1?

Beautiful bike!! I’ve heard 1981 was the last year of production, but would not be surprised if overstock was still being sold after that. 1981 was about when the mountain bike explosion took place, which only highlighted the antiquated quirkiness of the DL1. Poor quality knockoffs were and continue to be produced in China, India and Pakistan.
I have a 74 DL1 that gives me more smiles than any other bike I ride in my collection.
