Just a kids bike that he fixed up for a parade, looks like the fender & brace took a hit and pops added a aftermarket rack at some time. bike looks exact to the catalog down to the pinstripes ( even fork dart ) and being only a year ( or less ) model coming out sometime in 41 and by 42 the were war time shortage bikes, no tanks, less chrome, painted badges etc. so probably not many sold but still there's got to be a few out there?, I've wanted one of these curved frame long tank Murry/Elgin for years to go with my "real" Snyder built 24 in Hawthorne Zep with locking fork!
I'm Not very lucky but will keep the eyes peeled for anything of possible interests for anyone ;)

Ok, bringing this thread back up, long process but I got a frame, still the only one I've see besides the vintage picture and catalog pin so still waiting for someone to post some, took some pics on top of a 26 in frame and you can really see the difference, I had a rusty 26 in long tank I thought I could modify to fit but there's too much difference, the parts search begins, anyone have a shorter than normal Murry long tank?, I do have a extra 1937 24 inch Hawthorne Zep tank to trade!

Just noticed the distinctive white pen stripes under a rusty repaint. Thinking I could use a easy to get girls sprocket/crank and post war murry/JCH cast fork ( at least it's not a fender over the fork style ) but I might build a Monark style klunker for now, 26 inch wheels & tube fork while I'm searching for OG parts.
