Cruisin' on my Bluebird
I have been trying to figure out a value, without an appraisal, for my 29 Westfield GJ-1.
Just need to have a record of it for my insurance.
I know it has been painted over, at least 7 times that I can tell so far, trying to get the layers off of it, only to discover the og paint was sanded before re-painting. The saddle was recovered (I wish the guy I got it from and left the cracked up skirted troxel alone), oh well.
Also, he replaced the wood rims, with modern clinchers, because he didn't trust the rims, and he threw them away. yay.
Anyway, it is what it is. With all of that in mind, I know what my 1940's and 50's bikes are worth, as I have an excellent handle on that. However, 1929, not so much.
I was hoping that you all could kind of give me an idea, so I can have it, if you would. I appreciate any help from you all.
No, the bike isn't for sale, it is from the year my Mom was born, so I am kind of attached to it. Yes, I do plan to try to get it as original as possible, but that will take time and money, as you all know.
Thanks in advance. Here are a ton of photos of it.
