Krakatoa

Riding a '38 Autocycle Deluxe
Rough and ready to be resurrected!

Appears to be a '36 Model with straight crank arms & coffin chainring, with an early style truss fork and probably had no guard originally. Front fender has large lamp mounting hole, conduit grommet and wire clip, which indicates it may once have had a tank. It has straight Wald prewar pedals and Wald prewar 26" wide medium longhorns and a Torrington R stem. The Troxel longspring saddle has lost it's cover and like the rest of the bike has several layers of housepaint. (Note the red Troxel saddle has been swapped out since these pictures to a crusty Person's Majestic unit see 4/21 Bump below for pics.) There appears to be green original paint revealed in several areas. The triple drop centers have definitely seen better days and have dings and significant pitting as well as few missing spokes. ND D rear and Westfield front hub. Chain and sprockets have heavy wear. Old Goodyear G3 Airwheel tires. Later Wald kickstand. Old damage and repair to lower front fender, also some rear fender damage where the chain passes. Flat fender braces are good. Missing badge (has horizontal holes) and the Coke bottle grips have come to pieces.

I have done a basic disassemble for inspection and to make sure it came apart OK and had no major issues.

The good news is that the frame and fork are straight so the bike has good bones, and an interesting build direction has many possibilities.

SOLD Bye bye
