40 schwinn challenger

So I’ve been collecting parts for this build for about a year and think pretty much have everything! Except seat, for life of me I couldn’t find it, then realized I sold it on a bike recently without realizing it! So Bob u @bobcycles has one now he’s doing up for it! Have never been a fan of parting bikes before, but this is parts from probably ten bikes! The amazing Tom Clark @TWBikesnstripes fixed up one side of the tank that was sposed to be just like other side, but of course wasn’t, guess which side….lol bike sat half built forever waiting on a hub and few other parts! Enjoy the pics…hopefully in order but….

just waiting on seat now I think! Amazing color matching considering how many bikes the parts came from! Running outa room, so this might be going to a good new home if anyone is interested….. I’ve probably had ten of these in last few years! Love them!

Sweet BFG! I hope you didn’t put any Schwinn parts on that. I’m sure you know that BFG bikes are different then Schwinns. 🤣

So finally got the final pieces to this puzzle! Seat back and got tabs for it also! Thinking it’s pretty much done now unless I decide to drill out front fender for a light! So figured out I got parts from at least 8 different bikes, so I guess by default I’m a fan of parting out bikes….🤣🤪🤬🤷‍♂️ many thanks to @rustjunkie for the seat tabs! Final piece and to @thetheythem for doing what only a magician like you could do!

this might not be final installation on this piece, possibly rear brake coming…stayed tuned and thanks to everyone for following this and thumbs up and comments! I really appreciate it that people also appreciate this stuff!!!😎
