PURISTS, AVERT YOUR EYES! Eventual goal is to keep bike accurate to year of production, but for now this is set up as a rider. Waiting for some warm weather to give the original wheels an OA bath, although paint does show a rough life, they're original to the bike. I did use a nicer sweetheart sprocket that I had, and a later crank that I'd like to replace with a correct dogleg crank. I HATED the chrome on the original crank and sprocket, but will keep for future owner, if and when I sell. I'm using original the seat post and stem which were never chromed. I heeded the advice from this thread about on keeping original fender rivets, and dropping the springer fork idea. Dents in fenders weren't all that distracting, so I left them as history. Not yet sure if seat and pedals are correct. Will try to contact previous owner about badge and AS seat clamp bolt. I'm assuming paint loss on head tube was from leaning bike against buildings when at rest, because the kickstand doesn't lock at full down position and allows bike to tip over. I could use some ideas on how to solve this problem. Still need to do some minor adjustments before test ride.
