UPDATED PHOTO IN POST #15
THIS COULD BE A GREAT BIKE!!!!!!!
Very tempted to clean this one myself, but don't want to spoil the fun for the next owner. Seriously!
Asking $225, because I think the parts are worth more than that. But rather than blow it apart, I was hoping that someone might want to revive or restore this one.
Local pick-up only. Listing here first before posting on Portland Oregon CL.
THE GOOD
- Sheet metal is extremely straight.
- All parts appear to be correct, including the wheels.
- Skip tooth chain. New Departure front and rear hubs. Nice headbadge.
- Complete turn signal assembly in rack. Gonna need some work.
- Horn is very clean, but didn't work when I put batteries in it. I didn't try any harder than that though.
THE NOT-SO-GOOD
- Rusty, but no rust-through that I can see. However, pinholes may develop when rust is removed from lower part of tank where rust is heaviest.
- Expect some paint loss to rust when cleaning.
- Missing chrome braces for rack, headlight, pedals, and frame mounted switch for turn signals.
-Reflective tape on tank and fenders. As of 1/6/19 Reflective tape has been carefully removed. "SAFETY IS YOU" has been left on.
- Seatis fairly rusty, but I do believe it's original. As of 1/6/19 seat has been replace with very presentable white Monark Lobdell seat w/crashbars
