24 inch Perry coaster hub rear, and the front axle says “made in western Germany”.
These came off of a 1950’s Ross thunderjet.
Both wheels spin very straight, without the slightest hint of a wobble. The paint is flaking spotty but they would be great for the patina look.
The oil port is missing the cap.
The front axle will need new bearings.
I cleaned them with soap and warm water. I’m sure they will clean up even better with the right technique and products.
The tires are Carlisle “snake bellies”.
Very little wear but they do show some “checking”. That said, these tires haven’t been exposed to the weather in many years and they seem like they will be good drivers.
I’ve driven them several times in the past year since I picked the bike up.
They are 60+ years old so If nothing else they are nice enough for when you just want to display your ride at the shows.
