51 Schwinn Straight bar frame

I have a 51 straight bar frame (according to the serial number) ...Is there a way to figure out what model it started off as ? If I rebuild this It would be nice to see if I could get her back to the way she was.

Just the frame only? Slight chance you could narrow it down if it has it's original paint.

I agree there is probably no way to know what model it began as. Restoring a bike from just the frame gets to be a costly endeavor pretty quick. I'd just build it as a rider the way you like as time and finances permit. V/r Shawn

Thats great advice, I wasn't sure so I thought I would ask . I met a bunch of you guys at the last Rolling Relics ride in San Francisco and if any one would know the answer , you guys would so thanks again. RN/Steve
