This is an un-restored vintage 1951 “Donald Duck” bike made by Shelby Bikes. The Donald Duck bikes came in several sizes for both boys & girls produced 1949, 1950, 1951. I believe this is a large 26” almost completely original. The Shelby decals on the horn tank are new, as are the streamers. Price is $1,800.00

When working correctly, the horn “quacks” and the eyes (lights) flash. There is a switch to slide to keep the eyes on all the time, and / or a red plastic button to honk the horn and flash the lights. The horn and lights operate on two “D” batteries and are fickle as to when they will operate. I have not tried to clean the horn or switch, and I believe the tires are original.

The bike was recently serviced and photos show condition with dings, rust, & paint loss. I’ve had the bike several years but Donald needs a new home and hopefully will be appreciated in his current condition. I’m not a dealer, and I won’t ship or disassemble the bike…it must be picked up in the town of Sonoma.
Thanks,
Ken
