I have this same bike except in black.
It has a Komet Super F. & S. G 161 36 rear hub on it.
I'm pretty sure this hub is not original for this bike.
Can anyone tell me about this hub?
Thank you kindly

I had the same hub . It came from a '62 AMF Skyrider.

I think from about 58 to 64 Schwinn was experimenting/shopping for rear hub makers. Their main go-to New Departure stopped production in 59. In that time period I've seen the F&S hubs with the Schwinn stamped brake arm...then the Mattatuck in 63 and 64 if I remember right. Mattatuck must have bought the machining equipment from ND since they had the same brake discs...but the drive side parts more resembled Bendix. After those hubs, I think Schwinns singlespeed coasters were pretty well exclusively Bendix.

Great information.
Thank you very much.
