Cruisin' on my Bluebird
Just bought this here on the cabe for a good price, The bars and the stem are stamped 70, springer is correct but the serial number is stamped on the rear drop out. Has anybody seen this before on a 1970 Bike.

Wore out three sets of tires already!
Yes, probably April or May 1970 went to the head tube.
Some on here claim to know what day it happened but suffice to say Feb 1970 is safe on the dropout still.

I understand some '70s have both. Not sure if this is correct
Schwinn started stamping the serial numbers on the head tubes in May of 70. Here's a 1970 Twinn that had two stamped parts, a serial number stamped on the drop out and one on the head tube. I saw this Twinn many years ago and later my buddy Scott posted the Schwinn announcement that verified the May date.
