I live for the CABE
22" Burgundy frame 10 speed with a Schwinn speedo that was hours away from being cubed.
Lots of grime and moderate rust to remove and I am hoping to keep this one to ride for awhile after it gets cleaned up.
Speedo cable turns ok so must be a head issue - can't say I ever recall opening one of these up - or if it's even feasible? Everything else except rubber looks original and in good shape.
Edit - Found a decent site today with info on pulling the Schwinn speedo head apart.
