9/16 pedal

Not much of a machinist here, does anyone know if the average balloon tire crank has enough meat to be rethreaded for 9/16 shaft? I'm bending 1/2 inchers Thanks for any reply. Rick

I think a sixteenth is almost next to nothing. Should be plenty of meat if you can manage to rethread it.
