A Breakthrough In Artificial Aging

Finally riding a big boys bike
I finally found a correct fender brace for a Higgins of mine. Spray bombed yellow and missing part of it. After some jenky sheet metal fab tig welding, I got a good candidate to try a new technique.
1: Clean part well
2: Dab grease where you want bare metal/ rust with rag, cotton swab, paint brush, toothpick, etc...
3: Spray paint and let dry
4: Wipe away grease and let rust.
Makes for a convincing faux if you get the paint colors and grease done right. Pics later once rust is done.

Not quite the right color, but it's good enough.
