1983 Trek 850. This was Trek's first entry into the all terrain market. Original saddle/seatpost were gone, but I was able to find the correct SR seatpost and an Avocet Touring I saddle. The previous owner did some upgrades, replacing the original Suntour ARX derailleurs with Shimano Deer Head, and the original BMX style pedals were replaced by Suntour XC II bear traps.

Looks great! Nice build. These were classy looking bikes with the red headtube and black-out parts. I can't imagine Trek built many of these 850's. They don't turn up very often, unlike Stumpjumpers and Mt. Whitneys
