Look Ma, No Hands!
A few weeks ago I posted a photo of a Sacramento sporting goods store interior with bikes...that I picked up at the Alameda Point Antiques fair...I didn't have time to post these photos of Bikes I saw the same day....

The Harley Davidson racer was at Alameda...I think it was $7,000.00...if I recall, the seller said as much it was an original bike restored...I know the dealer, great guy... he's from down in Los Angeles....so if anyone needs it PM me and I'll get you his number...out of my reach at the moment...

I saw the Pope later in the day in an antiques store in San Jose...like right across from the eBay headquarters/campus...biz card posted with it in case anyone wants to pursue...I can't quite recall the price but don't think it was out of line....Can't say I recall ever seeing an antique bike in a store like that before, pretty unusual...looked pretty decent condition...

I'm still just getting to know the bike world...two questions if I may...1. What kind of bike was used to make this "Harley Davidson"....and 2. who makes custom chain wheels...like this HD one...

Davis made the original HDs. Not sure who made this one--almost looks like a custom frame. Both the HD badge and chainring have been reproduced through the years and some repos are better than others. I've seen a lot of fake HDs and this is one of the worst. You need to study this thread https://thecabe.com/forum/threads/show-your-davis-built-bicycles.20560/ to get a good understanding of what a real HD should look like.

I'm the Wiz, and nobody beats me!
Yeah, the worst thing about the Indian, and the Harley-Davidson bicycle, is that 99.9 % of them are fake bikes.
With most of those being feeble attempts at best.
If it ain’t a bona fide original condition bike, it’s most likely a fab job in some shape or form.
That isn’t to say, that there are a few .1 % correctly restored bikes out there, but they are few, and very far between.
