Riding a '38 Autocycle Deluxe
Well I got up this morning thought I’d stay home no g sales...so. Sitting around and decided to read the garage sale ads on Craig’s list. Saw a ad with a cotton picker and some other stuff. Thinking it’s a new cotton picker not old I wasn’t to excited but I’d thought I’d check it out. Drove there and saw it in the driveway took a second look at it and sure enough it was real not a repop in original condition! It looks like it was the basic model ...I Can’t tell you how many times ive read cotton picker and it was new....man I nearly crapped! It came with the v room motor.. This was too good to be true I was deaming. and price was reasonable too. Then she said .....There was this 50’s go cart... in the garage .. her husband had there for over 35 years so I took a look and wow i thought it was super cool to pass up even though I’m not the sharpest tool on these carts also not many these surface up around here. She knew a little on the cart price so it wasn’t too cheap but I thought a good value. It was like Christmas in August .... She was selling her deceased husbands stuff. There’s more stuff in the future on this one....:0..... anybody here have an idea what this engine that came with it is or what brand the cart is.? Thanks..

I'm digging the quarter midget myself. When I was back in N,Y I had an Offyette and a whatever the other was. The whatever one had a Continental engine in it. They are cool. The Offyette I bought from a family whose older son raced quarter midgets in the early 1960's. I remember going up in their attic when I was the sons friend and the Offyette sat up there. YEARS later I was able to buy it. Sold it within a few months and I have no idea where it is now. Like many things, wished I had kept it.

Thank you. I was in space on this one...... Yep it’s a real 1950’s quarter midget racer....that thing has a a inverted leaf spring front end which it floats on..and I think rear breaks on it.. my reasearch is weak on it...can’t find what brand.. I did find out it has a racing continental motor. I think it’s orig to it..the lady’s husband had it for 35+ yrs...

You woke my brain up to something. I mis-spoke myself when I said mine had a Clinton in it, it was a Continental. I wish I had more info to contribute. There has to be quarter midget clubs online who can help you find out more. Here is a picture I bought at an estate sale years ago.
