All that I know about 1940s Elgin Two Cell Brake/Tail light.

I researched everywhere I could for several years to find a working/usable tail light for the Miss America I was restoring and all I could find was very poor parts and no complete units. Here are some photos of what I found and the solution that I came up with.

The lens is held in place by two tabs on the housing. The lens is slotted and the grove is longer so the lens can be turned to light the tail light. See attached photos for further explanation. Hope this helps.
