Amish bicycles...

We go to Amish country 1-2x a year, central Pa around Lancaster/Paradise and you see bicycles like the one pictured.
It's really a kick scooter. I asked an Amish fellow about them and he said "they're made like that so kids can't go too far from home".
Driving all the serene back roads are so pretty, last visit I'm going 35 or so, get to a long hill and a middle aged Amish guy is on one and he's pulling away... I'm doing about 45-50 to catch up. When I pass, I see his had an electric motor on it.[emoji3]

So a motor is kosher if it's less than "one horse" power?

I know the Mennonites are allowed to us motors. When My father and I built a cabin we ordered a Amish Kit Cabin. The construction components were delivered by Mennonites.
