Another cool GT score

Several bikes listed local as first come first serve. I saw right after it listed yesterday morning, and only a few miles away! I messaged on my way and would bring $60 I had on me to hold. Super excited to see USA made and dropout stamped XL (longer headtube). Looks 99% original down to GT tires, GT pedals, GT brake pads............bars are Power Lite Powerbends a GT brand.

Some chrome issues on rims and little tears in seat, but looking forward to the clean up. Now me and son in law can cruise GT's to 7 Eleven.

So this cleaned up nice and the now black rims are .

Powder Coated the Sun Mistral (36h doublewall) and rebuilt as the rim chrome had issues. Gave me a chance to clean the GT race hubs up (hollow axles), also polished the other aluminium bits, aluminum foil on the chrome for frame/forks/post, OA on the bolts and small parts, new brake cable. Its a 92-ProEliteXL. Took it out on a 5 mile or so shakedown ride.
