Finally riding a big boys bike
Finally got everything buttoned up on this new (to me) Pennsylvania transplant (thanks Dave).

Took him out on a 10 mile shakedown run, no problems except the chain was too loose. The modern wheelset makes for a really smooth ride. I look forward to this Mead Ranger being an everyday bike.

I believe this is Westfield built, so this

means 1934. Am I right?

A feature of some Westfield bikes is a notched seat post clamp bolt.
Most Westfield-built Rangers I have seen had been the short frames.

Don't forget to nail it down when the hurricanes blow and you need a devil girl to ride with you.

My devil girl is 71 and a minister's daughter. You know how good girls get mixed up with bikers?
