I know nothing about this bike, but willing to bet it's a period piece together done with a washing machine or similar gas engine. It's a pretty cool piece of history for sure.
I agree I had never seen a bluebird with an engine on it definitely looked home grown to me. I know everybody talks poop about these guys and what they’ve done to the antique market (prices) but for what it’s worth I was in Nashville and had to go check out the Marathon automobile building there in. If you ever get a chance the building is amazing not just there store it was put together really well.
Looks like the fuel tank is below the engine, so it would have been a low hp 1/2 to 1hp siphon feed engine. Briggs, Johnson Iron horse, etc. Briggs Y would have been too tall to fit.
