Antique Schwinn — need help

Ok — I admit I know very little about these racer style wood timers. I am hoping someone might k ow something about it. Trying to decide if I should make an offer.

Any idea on the year? I find it odd that all the box pins are in good shape but there are no signs of decals. Your title (Road Bike) and section this is posted in might steer off the ones that know about these.

Looks like a 38/39 New World Racer with the 3-piece crank option but I'm not an expert on these by any means. ChiCyCo badged explains the lack of decals.

I just read the old ad,I didnt know they still used wood rims that late in the century. Thats a beauty
