Any body have an idea what these are for

I have had these spring steel circles for long time came with a big box of 1890,s 1900 bike parts I bought about 25 years ago.they are about a 2 inch circle very thin. Has flange edge I will call it on one edge. I at first thought they where something for coaster brakes but not really sure or some kind of spacer or shim for crank cones. They are stamped Stevens N Pat date i think 11 11 o1 Made in USA

Any ideas?

Those are New Departure Model A brake shoe repair part. When the hub shell wears, you install one of these over the brake shoe disc to lengthen the life of the hub.
