I have seen a 1956-V Murray with the candy-coated paint over something, like electro-deposited zinc plating or just a silver primer?
Don't know if process was unique to Tennessee. See the Murray serial number thread. Girl's saddle/seat.
"America's Best" was the store brand for the Moore-Handley Hardware Company, in Birmingham England.

Definitely Murray built! The Tennessee plant didn't open until 1957, they were Ohio based before that. Here's the serial # chart.

yes it is a Murray, the fenders are from a 2000 ish Schwinn tribute bike, from like a cruiser seven or something, like this.
