On Training Wheels
Hey All,

First post here, looking for help identifying my bike and getting some info on wiring. I believe this is a 1964 Western Flyer Strato Flyer? I am about to re-wire the horn and lights but I still need to purchase lights and was curious if this is worth trying to work with the existing(original?) piece for the switch for light and button for the horn if possible or would it be easier to just make a new setup? Any info on bike specs is also greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

James

Nice bike.
Looks like a Murray built for Western Auto.
Plastic light housing looks to need a bit of super-glue, but otherwise looks all there.
Something about the front fender looks peculiar?

Welcome to the CABE. This was my first Spaceliner type bike. Looks to me like the fenders and pedals are not the originals. I also think it's a 64. Including a 62 catalog page for fun. On this one I did get the lights working but any of my later ones I just redo them with AA battery box and led bulbs. Brighter than the originals. But here is a pic of original.

Thanks for the pics. Hope to find the original pedals/fenders eventually.

it's backwards and it has been painted.
turn it around and it should look fine.
I may have a set of fenders from 65 in the barn.
