Anyone ever figure out who sold the Schwinn "Mission" Bicycle?

-
Agreed!
It’s Arnold Schwinn & Co.
With, “Mission” sandwiched in between.
Thanks for your very detailed information about The Mission Inn. Very interesting.

Since we a digging and splitting hairs, let's not forget the comma.

It's two last names, ARNOLD , SCHWINN and CO.

Arnold owned a meat packing company and was the $$$$ guy in the early days.

Ignaz and later Frank W. Schwinn were the bicycle design guys

Without the comma it makes people think Arnold was the first name of a Schwinn family member. It's two different people and even though the Schwinn family wholey owned the company for many years, the Arnold name was not dropped from the DBA until sometime around 1966 or 1967.

I agree, with your well known Schwinn history, but take a closer look at the badge in question.
No such comma exists.
Apparently it wasn’t that important to,
Adolf Arnold, and Ignaz/Frank W. Schwinn.
