'Lil Knee Scuffer
Anyone have a clue what year this is? Where do find the serial number on this bike?

Looks to be a 'put together' bike...chainring, chain guard, rack, seat? and fork are not Schwinn...looks like frame is....

Serial number will be either under bottom bracket (pre '52), on the left rear dropout ('52 - '70ish) or on the head tube ('70ish on up). Looks like one heck of a frankenbike.
Cheers, Geoff

Looks like a 50's-60's schwinn frame with a bunch of monark or western flyer parts on it.

Notice the rear drop out adjusters Prewar.

The seatpost clamp is separate. the front end is something someone cobbled together. Looks like they were trying to get the weight of the load over the front tire. 1945 to 1950?

The frame is Schwinn but the rest of the bike is a parts warehouse. The front fork is a Columbia unit from the late 40’s/50’s. The reaction truss is mounted backwards and was meant to be placed behind the spring tower making it a trailing link rather than a leading link design. The chain guard is a Snyder/Rollfast unit from about the same period as the fork and the seat pan looks like something from an early junior polo seat or perhaps from a mini-twin. The rack is an aftermarket piece as is the chain ring.

Good eye. I can't even see the rear dropouts in that pic on my screen. It just looks like rust on more rust. Oh, and moss.
