Can anyone explain how the Ero Manufacturing Baby Grand buddy rack became associated with Miami bicycles? Were they offered as an accessory in the Miami catalogs at some point? Thank you for the clarification.

Yeah!
Inquiring minds want to know?
By the looks of that catalog, it seems pretty aftermarket/generic to me.
I’d say it was marketed for general purpose use on any make of bicycle at that time.

To reiterate what Brant said;
Did any of the Miami made catalogs show the Ero Manufacturing/Baby Grand Carrier as an offering?

Peter @SKPC .... am still somewhat in a state of shock and awe that 30-T, 1913-only, Model 330, Flying Merkel chainring surfaced on Ebay. This is "Unobtainium" in the purest sense !! Learning that you placed the winning bid ... i could not contain myself ... stepped forward, asking if this relic could be made available to me. The rest is history. Peter ... i am eternally grateful to YOU !! ............................. patric

Miami manufactured cranks? These may have came with the large badge of early Miami cranks I bought years ago from Mr. Bailey. Anyway they both fit the Merkel star ring well. One is straight legged with one angular shoulder and one rounded shoulder, the other has one dog leg with two angular shoulders. BOTH have a “M” cast in the middle of the shaft!!! Is this for Miami?! I guess someone could also say Wald?
Another piece if evidence that supports Miami, on this Miami Power Bicycle engine we see the same mark on the belt shaft! I also believe I have seen this mark on another part of this engine, but sadly today it no where to be found.

I'm pretty sure the '15/16 lit says they produced their own cranks. I suspect this may have been under the Fauber patent. I want to say they produced their own handlebars and maybe a few other parts.
