There is a small item on ebay.de that I have been searching a few years for. The seller has not responded to my request to ship to the US.

Are there any CABE members on the other side willing to make the purchase and forward it to me?

All costs will be covered as well as compensation for your time.

you might try through retrobikes forum which is British based. The forum is more vintage mountain and classic road but they are bike enthusiasts and always seem very helpful. there are members throughout Europe on it.

For some unknown reason, a lot of German ebay sellers won't ship to the US. I'd like to know why.

Why not ask @FreedomMachinist ? He is based in Germany. Or go on Ebay and change your address to a friend you have somewhere in Europe. Usually that is all it takes. That way you can pay and process the transaction. The item will get sent to your friend who then can forward it along.

I would love to know too. The Brits, Dutch, Italians, and French usually will send things our way. It is rare however for the Germans.

Because shipping stuff to the us with the German postal system is a pain in the a*s, you have to fill out a bunch of forms and pay in cash

I was not aware to divert a shipment was an option. It would certainly simplify matters. Only problem is, I don't have any friends....anywhere.

Thanks to all and especially Mercian/Adrian as the goods are in transit. I had little faith that I would ever find this item but the CABE pulls through once again.

Hey, perhaps I should post a wanted for a friend. Who knows what may happen?
