I'm the Wiz, and nobody beats me!
He was making a effort to make things right and told me he would eventually clear things up with everybody but we may never know what really happened or if we even need to know!
I dont think anybody needs to know what happened. It wont change the end of the story.Let the story end.I dont know the man,,maybe he was trying to make things right,We'll never know.

It’s pretty much over for me ( unless my chain guard + parts ended up in someone else’s box? ) but there are a few that put out their hard earned cash that got the runaround ( as we all did ) and have not received their purchases, hopefully it will end ok for them also!

He was in the process of moving. Only way anybody’s going to get their stuff is by contacting the person in charge of clearing out the house. Nobody knows what he owes to anyone.

I just saw another big problem!, on one of his family members FB page was a ad for a "yard sale everything must go" with a lot of bike pictures from his garage, house & yard, think it might have been for last weekend, not sure who was doing the pricing/selling so that must have been a tough weekend ( he told me he lost everything ), wonder if any of the Detroit area members made it by their?

That was on his Facebook page! 8/11/23 if I remember right.

Look Ma, No Hands!
Someone showed up before the garage sale & made a large bulk purchase.
He'd made a post on some FB group saying that & 'sorry it's all gone'
Maybe whoever that was would cut some cheap deals towards parts we could prove were spoken for.
He told me it was a younger guy from Monroe

He was a good guy, with extremely deep feelings, going through a lot.
Any burns that went down were felt by himself & it would have did him in.

Yes he lashed out, but it was just part of it.
I'll always consider him a friend.
PMs welcome, if anyone's making headway.

RIP Randy

Agreed, RIP Randy. And I will have to admit that he did try in his own way to make things as right as he could despite his demons. But ya know how sometimes a bad experience takes some of the luster off the way you view your purchase. Well, that's the way I've been feeling about my new tank.......of course trying to look at it as part of it's new history, does seem to help a little. But, I'll sure always remember this whole experience whenever I look at it.

Cruisin' on my Bluebird
I know I'll always remember how my deal went down with Randy..

I was first turned off by all the reproduction parts that were on his 4 gill. But I kept going back to the ad and thinking how I had never seen a '39 4 gill equipped like his. Apple core Supreme badge, original equipped fork mount dual silver rays, riveted at the axle curved fender braces. And the paint had great pinstripes and patina. So I come up with an offer consisting of removing a bunch of parts and adding back the original saddle and PM it along with my phone number. (I had never dealt with Randy before). He calls me within minutes of sending my offer. "Hey Chad, I got your offer.....YOU'RE OUT OF YOUR F$#@^N MIND!"

"OK, that will work."

Quite the first interaction. RIP Randy
