Hi, I have an old US bike called Arlington from Chicago. According to the Wheelmen's list they were produced 1895-98 and mine with a frame number at 107,000 should be late in production, I suppose?
Does anyone have another bike like it or any litterature / ads to share or sell?
What was the "Cash Buyers Union" ?
My bike have clincher rims and the supposed original fixed rear hub was changed in the teens to a then available swedish "Rapid" coaster hub from Husqvarna.
The rear fender has broken and was repaired by two rivets. It's a mystery to me how the now missing front fender was attached to the front fork?
Could the clamped steering bar have been original? Usually early bikes had the steering bar brazed.
