An article in "The Bicycling World and Motorcycle Review" October 20, 1914 mentions:
"...the Yale exhibit, the balance of which consisted of three models of bicycles, one of them of the motorcycle type".
So maybe in the Consolidated era, the double bar was their motorcycle type?
The 5-arm sprocket above almost looks like a Snyder, with 4 extra wedge shaped cut-outs.
I just cant find a dag-nabbed picture of the motorcycle type. I would completely make all the sense in the world though.

Walt said it was not D&J but didnt know the manufacturer. I could make a D&J fit, just need to find someone that will let one go.

I know I've seen it recently and I'm pretty sure something really similar on different bikes. One that sticks out in my head rn would be dayton.
