Look Ma, No Hands!
While reviewing some older Trade Magazines, I came across the 1960 January issue of The Bicycle Journal, where on page 82 there is a photo of a huge stack of AMF Pedal Cars, fully assembled and individually packed in wooden crates. The inventory is located in the facility of Industrias Cora S.A. de C.V., AMF's licensee in Mesico City. It is not clear if this inventory was produced in Mexico and is destined for the Mexico market and/or the USA market, or if it was produced in the USA and shipped to Mexico for their domestic market. Can any of you collectors of Pedal Cars shed some light on this issue? I have illustrated several dozen older trade magazines on www.HowieBikeMan.com and will continue adding many dozens more during this week.
Howie
