Schwinny
I live for the CABE
A pair exactly alike came in last week.
The most bling on the block and probably cheaper than a similar level Schwinn.
Many of us remember that Sears was a legitimate place to get everything back in those days.
These say made in Austria on headbadge.
Braze-ons for the front of the chain guard, shifter jockey wheel and for the odometer on the fork. Check out that rear brake cable routed inside the top tube.... Early tech.
A last hurrah for box pins on the downtube
Unusually, the lights are battery powered.
Sachs 3 speeds and drillium front hubs. (I might save those)
Aaaand it comes with a backgammon game board wrapped around the seat tube.
Only things aluminum are the brakes.(Weinman 810)
These were quite spiffy in their day and I'll bet not much more than $100 for the pair when new.
