I think prewar autocycles had complete striping from end to end on the front fender. Post war has no striping from the truss rods to the fork. Why the difference? Thanks

Early Prewar Autocycles/ Motorbikes 35-37 did have 'interrupted' fender striping at the fork blade...
My theory is they painted these ob the bike ...had to stop at the fork.

Then in 38 they were continual ....had to be painted off the bike.

Postwar same deal....possibly painted on the fork or on the bike
