Riding a '38 Autocycle Deluxe
An older restoration of a Schwinn "Henderson" B6 bicycle. No idea who did it but they totally nailed the Cobalt blue
with just the right amount of that purplish hue. Overall the paint is incredibly accurate, but for some reason
they left out a couple of no brainer pin stripes on the guard and tank. Could be added easy enough. The
graphics are titz dead on! There are chips and scratches here and there, most noticeably on the back section
of the front fender... Bike looks quite good! Extremely nice restored S-2 wheel set with nice drum
brake nice chrome etc. done really well. The glaring or most obvious 'incorrect' stuff would be the Schwinn
Anniversary Taillight repro and the Excellent original later Schwinn Mesinger saddle...mid to late 50's one
found on Wasps, Cycle Trucks and later Phantoms... Seat however is very nice. Will need the brake cable
and clip, they are available on line or possibly here on the cabe. Typhoon tires look decent, not cracked etc.
Key is not the original "Yale" Schwinn one, but works just fine. Did not test horn and light. Pedals are
mismatched NOS pair of 40's era Wald "3"..one looks nickel, the other cad, but look to be NOS.
I'm sure expensive to restore, rechrome etc. and priced for less than what typical restoration costs
of one of these bikes would run.
Also included but not shown, I'll throw in a Rechromed Sweetheart sprocket used skip tooth chain and a
rear 1" pitch New Departure cog if the new owner decides to get rid of the 4 hole sprocket. No idea
why it was built with that.
decent bike that you don't have to pamper as it's been knocked around (mildly) a bit.
