First and for most thank you for the quick answers. I have enjoyed Stingrays to late balloners. I have just crossed into the prewar era and feel like I don’t know my head from a hole in the ground.

Today’s question prewar to center stamped S2’s. What is the evolution of Schwinn ballon wheels?

S2s started in 1948. Not sure of the exact date. There are some variations of S2s over their life time. Roger

As I understand Schwinn balloon started with drop center to Lobdell to S2. My question is the time line for these changes.
When Schwinn went to S2 were the stamped S2 immediately or a few years latter.
