Picked up this Violet 1968 Schwinn Sting-ray Slik Chik coaster at an estate sale today. This thing was buried in the back barn with a couple of other Schwinn bicycles. It's complete, aired up the tires, no leaks, solid w/w S-2 Slik and w/w Westwind front. Seat is solid, no missing mylar strips. Chrome should clean-up nice, very solid, diamond in the rough.
Serial number EDxxxxxx ... May 1968
Now I have to find some time to clean it up!

Yeah, as a whole bike, but not parts out. I'd buy the whole bike as is just to have a Violet Slik Chik would be really cool.

Quik wash of the dirt & grime to see what I'm getting myself into before tear down. Decals look nice, chainguard is solid with a slight swipe, seat is super solid ... Front westwind tire date UV 1st quarter. This bicycle will be getting upgrades to bring it back to it's former glory!
I'll take my time with this one ... I'll post it's progress ...

Yes, it is original, nicer correct "used" original items like the kickstand, pedals, correct stem ... upgrades!

I wasn’t sure if you meant handle bar basket and wheelie bar or things like that. Really nice bike it will clean up nicely. I may just dress my extra Fairlady like one until I find one.
