Finally riding a big boys bike
Due to all of the messages and interest in this bike, I have decided to let it go to someone who wants it more than myself. This bike was picked up out of Muncie Indiana about 10 miles from where the original owner lived and from where it was purchased when new. 1940? Auto Cycle. Has all period correct parts with everything untouched from when I found it. The bike is missing some of the glass, (speedo and headlights), as well as the drive unit for the speedo itself.
- Note the small pin sized dent in the left rear upper chain-stay and the rust on the bottom of the drive side of the tank. The period battery is still in place. (SEE LAST PHOTOS) This is a once in a lifetime find, but bikes come and go.
I am located in O'fallon Missouri, just outside of St Louis. Due to the size, weight, and complexity of the bike, I personally do not want to be liable for shipping. Looking for a local buyer and I am willing to drive up to 150 miles towards a meetup point if needed. If further meetup is needed, discussions can be had but additional expenses would need to be covered.
$7500 CASH in hand will allow this bike to go to a new home. Anything less and it'll stay with me. Not looking to ship. If you need any more photos or have questions inquire via pm.
