Bearing degreasing product suggestions.

I'm getting ready to service my 1978 schwinn heavy duti, what would you guys suggest to degrease them with? I was thinking of soaking them in purple power for a night, what would you guys suggest?

I use Diesel and a tooth brush, but I'm a Hill Billy!

I use the water based solvent tank at work, but WD40 does a pretty good job of breaking down old grease in a pinch.

You might also want to try LA's Totally Awesome Oxygen Orange from the Dollar Store. I'm a recent convert to this stuff. Very satisfied with the results. Non-toxic, non-flammable, and no heavy fumes like gasoline and the like!!!!

I get cheap degreaser from the Dollar Store and just soak the parts and use a brush to clean.

I'm still trying to use up the 8 gallons of five year old high octane gas that I pumped out of my car. Been cleaning parts with it for well over a year now and still have 4 gallons left.
