Looks a lot like a prewar Schwinn New World frame, badged BFG like my 1941. The rear fork ends were only used on New Worlds from 38-39. Paint scheme is not like any Schwinn. Neat bike that could ride very nicely if it gets some love.

Crazy how similar parts look for these prewar lightweights. Like there was standard tooling for hockey stick chain guards and finned front fenders... A lot of the other stuff was sourced from suppliers, like Torrington bars & pedals, Wald stems, Mesinger/Troxel/Persons saddles, New Departure Hubs, Miller 3 piece kickstand, etc..
