Hi Kirby,

Since we've already discussed this bike a bit on PM, I thought I'd put up what I'd found, so that others don't need to repeat the same research, or they can modify or build on what I've done. There's still much to find out.

A little research on your bike shows:

From 1892 onwards JOHN S. LENG'S SON & CO., were based at 4 Fletcher Street. NEW YORK, and were importers of weldless cold drawn steel tubes, (as used in bicycle manufacture, amongst other things).

I'm not sure from the document what the original sources are, and I think the year is a 'first year of manufacture' or something, since looking up better known makes gives a single year also. But 1903 seems a reasonable earliest date for the bike.

Well, seeing as your cycle has fenders, and assuming they came with the bike, I would place this as Circa 1911-1915. What make rear hub does she sport?

I have a girls frame with similar fine print stamped on the bottom bracket, along with the serial numbers stamped on the seat tube mast. Although mine does not have the pinch bolt provision for a seat post clamp. I was guessing that mine was of the Great Western make; (1902 Adlake Model 38?).
If one could ascertain the month and year, (along with the 24th day), the patent might be researched for a clue as to the maker.
However, patent dates only serve as no-sooner-than information.

Unknown Ladies ToC-Teens-Twenties; is it a "Zero" (0) | Antique Bicycles Pre-1933

I have a Ladies bike project with an old frame; (as opposed to an old-ladies bike). It is stamped "0" on the bottom bracket; along with some fine print (3/32"). Bottom bracket stamped "0" with fairly flush brazed joints; 1900-1910-1920? Fine stamped letters brazed-over, two lines; I thought...
