On Training Wheels
Hi
I'm new to this forum. I'm trying to ID and date the bike in the attached photo. If you blow up the photo you can see the head badge.
Also can anyone ID the rider....I know this is a long shot!!

It probably is about 1895-1898. About the only way the rider can be identified is to go through old bicycle periodicals of the time frame such as the LAW Bulletin. Plenty of photos of racers, some great, some not so great.
 
Man those bars are close to his knees, hard to turn when pedaling
