BIKES IN THE WILD!! Post your vintage bike pics spotted in 'the wild'....

Here are a few bikes I spotted in my travels around the US....

First up..... 1940's Ladies Columbia down in the East Village of NYC...

I first noticed this bike in relatively decent original condition in 2016 chained up
in the public arena on a busy sidewalk.

Pretty cool rider.... This pic from 2016

Cut to 2018. Same bike....same location only ravaged a bit by the elements...
obviously hadn't moved from this location in 2 years....left for the vultures...

1/2 a delta torpedo light that took in some rainfall....

Then this sad case.... a late 1940s Schwinn DX in Chicago....right in the dead
center of DownTown amidst the hi-rise company. Planes and trains badge...
in it's natural habitat and not far from it's birthplace on Kildare.....

Shelby bicycles left for dead in the alley behind the Pike in Long Beach, California.

Lioness spots the carcass and moves in for the kill.

It turns out, there was enough meat on the bone to nourish the whole pride.

This one is hanging in my local Cracker Barrell, not sure of the make, they will not discuss a trade or a sale

I was wandering thru the woods and stumbled on a junk pile around a vacated cabin and spotted this bike rim and tire, I dont think the wheel is schwinn but the tire no doubt is! Also found a Roadmaster Mtn bike in the brush, as well as a rusty abandoned what looks like it used to be a 82-84 Honda ATC 200

There used to be a mid 70's Honda 750 Four in the woods very close to my house. They sold the land and it was scraped when they clear the woods to build a house. I had one in the 70's and always wanted to build a Cafe racer
