I guess we're entitled to our opinions but I feel there's no way this has been repainted. Your statement as if it's a fact - "obviously repainted" - is not obvious to anyone who has seen it in person. I have a friend who works at a bicycle museum and I think I would respect his opinion more than yours or mine. He was adamant that it wasn't repainted.

Sorry, what I was meaning was the stem, saddle and wheels have been painted... no disrespect to you.

None taken. But again, the wheels have absolutely not been repainted. I also do not believe the darts are of an inferior quality to what I've seen done in factories during the 1930's. They are very consistent with what you see. I would agree on the stem and saddle.
