serial number comes back as april of 1977. catalog says only red and blue in 77. thoughts?

The frame and chainguard are 60's. I think youre misreading the serial number. Post it

Also you can check the schwinn badge.. if it is a 77, it should have the 4 digit date ending with a 7 stamped into it
